The weekend of November 25/26 2006 saw the merry crew reunite for another bike trip, this time to Augusta down on the south-western tip of the continent. Unfortunately Adrian couldn't make it this year, but Geoff was able to step into the breach with his 'transport & recovery' vehicle. Which we actually had to use because Mick's Laverda RGS1000 decided to snap a camchain. The bike is still on the operating table as I write, so we're not sure what the damage (and the bill, ahem) will be exactly.
But aside from that mechanical hiccup, it was great trip, if not a bit on the short side. Who knows, next year we might really get ourselves organised and do a trip to the Phillip Island GP.

Our campsite down at Augusta. Notice that each man has brought his own tent. This made sure that complaints about nocturnal methane emissions were kept to a minimum.
